Blog Post #7!

My 6th location is Asia. The country in it that I am going to is Russia. The capital of Russia is Moscow. China borders the country and so doesn't Finland. The arctic ocean, ocean of Japan, and the sea of Ohkotsk. Russia has long cold winters and brief summer. Russia looks very rich and made of money. Early Russia was not exactly a country but a number of Slavic cities in the Eastern and Southern parts of Europe. According to a legend, in the early part of the 9th century, Varangian's crossed the Baltic Sea and landed in Eastern Europe. From Brazil to Russia you have to cross the whole North Atlantic Ocean. To get to Russia I took a boat and hit an island half of the way there and finished going to Russia. I feel like I have learned and discovered so many different things. I learned so many things about the countries history and my family was scared that I wasn't going to make it back but I emailed them every night and they were still scared that I wasn't going to make it.

blog post #6 S.S

The next place I am going to visit is Brazil. It is in South America. The capital of Brazil is Brasilia. Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay and Venezuela borders Brazil. In the winter time Brazil is up to 22 degrees F. In the Summer it gets really hot. Brazil in the wild can look very tropical and alive and in the public around everyone is all tared roads and kind of busy like. The Native American peoples who were the original inhabitants of what is now Brazil included the Arawak and Carib groups in the north, the Tupi-Guarani of the east coast and the Amazon River valley, the Ge of eastern and southern Brazil, and the Pano in the west. For the most part these groups were essentially semi-nomadic peoples, who subsisted by hunting and gathering and simple agriculture. It took me the cross the Mediterranean Sea, the northern part of Africa and to cross the whole mid part of the Atlantic Ocean. To get to my 5th location I had to use a boat. I had one trouble going on my way to Brazil, I almost got on the wrong boat. There wasn't much of a difference in spain and brazil. But it seems like Brazil seems more fun. I had more fun in Brazil because they had more to do there.

Blog post #5 S.S

the third place I am going to visit is Ontario, Canada. There is a island there called Manitoulin, I am going to visit there. The united states borders Canada and the North Atlantic ocean and Northern Pacific ocean borders Canada. People think that year around Canada is really cold. Around winter time the temperatures are below freezing in most parts of the country. In the summer the highest it would get would be 30 degrees Celsius. Canada looks like very outdoors and fresh. The nature looks alive. To get from Spain to Canada you have to cross the North Atlantic Ocean. I took a carnival cruise from Spain to Canada. I felt good about traveling to Canada most of the time, but every once in a while i felt like i was going to puke from the boat rocking back and forth.

Blog post #4 S.S

The third place I am going to be visiting is Ibiza, Spain! It's an island in Spain The capital of Spain is Madrid. Countries that border Spain are France and Portugal. The Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. Spain has hot dry summer and mild rainy winters. Spain looks really rich with money and big buildings. Around 1100 BC, Phoenicians from present-day Lebanon set up trading colonies along the Spanish coast. Greeks also traded along the north-eastern coast. From Australia to Spain you have to cross the Indian Ocean. The difference between Australia and Spain is Spain is more rich looking and Australia is more outdoors. The one trouble I had was that when we were crossing the ocean my luggage almost fell off the boat. But luckley there was a smaller boat there to catch it. I rode in a giant boat, and there was a small boat that caught it and gave it back.

My second location.

The second place i am visiting is Australia. It is it's own country. The capital of Australia is Canberra. The only locations that border Australia is the Indian Ocean and South Pacific Ocean. The northern part of the country has a tropical climate, and the southeast and southwestern parts of Australia have temperate climate and moderately fertile soil. In the northern part of Australia it looks like a tropical rain forest and 40% of Australia is covered by sand dunes. The earliest human discovered in Australia was "Mungo Man" he is been predicted to be 40,000 years old. In the history throughout the years they had 250 different languages, and today about 200 of them are now extinct. Dutch, Portuguese, and Spanish ships sighted Australia in the 17th century. The Dutch landed at the Gulf of Carpentaria in 1606. Australia became known for its liberal legislation: free compulsory education, protected trade unionism with industrial conciliation and arbitration, and women's suffrage. From my first location you have to cross the whole Indian Ocean to get to Australia, and thats what I did.

Blog post #2 SS :D

The first place i am going to visit is Madagascar. Madagascar is it's own country and it's also an island. The capital of this country is Antananarivo. The Indian ocean borders the country. It's very tropical in Madagascar, like humid. It looks very alive, there is no dead plants. some history of Madagascar it the island is first known to Europeans after being sighted in 1500 by a Portuguese ship on the new route to India, nobody really paid much attention to Madagascar until a century later. Britain and France attempt to establish settlements of Madagascar.

Hey my name is Judie, I am 29 years old. I am going to Madagascar to explore the island. I am going for this trip for a job that I am applying for and I need to get information on wild life that I have seen before. So I thought Madagascar would be a nice place to go to, to get this information. I am very excited for this trip but I am kind of afraid that something will go wrong and I have nobody there to help me because I am going alone so I am not going to stay in Madagascar a long time. My family feels like I should bring someone with me, but I told them that I can do it by myself so I think that they are scared for me. They don't want me to get hurt. I want to prove to them that I can be an independent person.

Ode to Rabies.

Ode to rabies

You are not the nicest disease

You make me foam from my mouth

Please stay away from me

I don't want you to make me mean

I am way to young to die

You are a threat that makes me scared

I don't know when you enter my body at first

After a while I get afraid of thirst

You can be defeated, it sure will be hard

When you are in a body I might be gone

Compare.

The middle ages time is way more different then today. Today we have a lot more money and more people can afford better things. In the middle ages they had huts, and today we have houses made of wood and concrete. The events we go to today are sports events but not like jousting and at the sports events now we get more there then you usually do for food and seats. In the middle ages it was more demanding and people were expected to do more things for other people. But today people are more laid back.

Events. :] [SS]

There was a jousting tournament the other day. There was tons of people there. Kings and Queens from all around. This was on a giant field at the castle I work at. The castle I work at has a big stadium for jousting and other sports. This whole event started out when these people were fighting over the price of how much oranges were at the local market, I think they took this way to over board. So they decided to decide by jousting. A lot of people were betting money on who would win. There were tickets being sold at the front door of the stadium, so I decided during my free time I would go see what was going on. There is a lot of skill that local people in my town have, I was surprised. Many of people seemed like they have seen better. But that was my first time at one of those events. The person who thought the oranges were more money then the person who said they were cheap ended up winning the tournament.

Culture. SS:)

I am very open to people. I do not talk to people that look mean. I mostly talk to girls or woman because I think they are most nice around where I live. Also where I live I don't have top of the class food. For breakfast I usually have bread and cheese, During lunch we have a kind of fish like trout or flounder. Dinner is my favorite where we eat vegetables with bread. Where I live we have a lot of farmers and I live on a farm. My uncle works on it and he makes money off of it and he gives my family milk and food from the farm.

Social Studies-2 [government] middle ages.

The type of government us people have is anarchy. There is many laws that I like and do not agree with. My favorite law is that everyone must respect one another in the kingdom. A law that a do not agree with is who ever got accused of something they would have to hold a metallic piece that was red-hot for a few seconds. I am catholic I go to church every once in a while. Prices are going up at the grocery store, which is causing my family to buy more.

Dragons
Descent

This
summer I went to Fun town with my friend Anna. My sister Marissa and
her boyfriend Chris came along, and my mom brought us. I was so
excited. On the way to Fun town I was saying that I was going to
ride the Excalibur and Dragon's Descent. As we entered Fun town
coming back from Splash town my stomach started feeling like there
were butterflies in them. And plus we ate in splash town before we
came to fun town. The first ride was Dragons Descent. Anna, Marissa
and Chris went on it, I chickened out. I am very surprised Marissa
went on it before I did. When we went to florida she only went on
one roller coaster and I went on a whole bunch! Throughout Fun town
there was a lot of fun rides. As the day was coming to the end Anna,
Marissa and Chris went to ride Dragons Descent again. Anna was
begging me to come on the ride.

I
was scared out of my mind. While Anna was begging me I said to myself
“hey its just a ride tons of people have been on it before and
they survived, I think I will survive too”. So that made me go
on it and Anna begging me and getting me to concur my fear, but I was
still scared. I was walking towards the line to go ride the Dragons
Descent and I was staring at it the whole time, that made me shake.
All the sudden we were walking into the part that we get into our
seats. I felt the need to walk back to the side but I didn't I just
kept on walking. As we were going to the top of the part of the ride
i was shaking and saying “I don't want to do this, I don't
wanna do this”. Anna was laughing at me the whole time, but I
didn't mind it was my first time riding something so high like that.
Dragons Descent it higher the Excalibur and Excalibur is pretty high,
it has a giant drop. All that the Dragons Descent did was you go up
this pole and you go way up to the top, and you stay there and you
never know when your gonna drop and then WHOOSH!!! your going down
screaming on the top of your lungs. Me and Anna were really high on
the ride and I asked her if we were at the top yet and she said we
weren't even half way! I said “Oh great”. As we were
still going up the ride I was thinking of what could go wrong like
something got stuck or the whole thing tipping over from the wind
because I could feel wind blowing. Once we came to a stop I could
see the tops of the trees and I could see pretty much the whole
park! It was beautiful, even though I was freaked out. I was so
scared I started talking to myself and then I started singing. I was
saying “la la la la la”. Then all the sudden on my last
la it was terrifying to me anyway, and Anna was laughing at me the
whole time down the ride! As we were dropping I saw a flash from
down below it was my mom flashing a picture of me with my mouth wide
open. We were dropped down I thought we were gonna die. But then we
go up and then back down until we came to a complete stop.

Twelve
people were getting off Dragons Descent counting Anna and me. Anna
was out of the ride before I was, because Anna was helping me get out
of my seat buckle and everybody else was ready out of there seats so
they could just leave. Anna and I were the only ones left in the
gates of the ride, but I was still buckled in my seat. I said “Anna!
get me out of this thing it wont unbuckle!” I was worried
sick. The seats are purple and there's a bar that went down over my
shoulder and snapped down on a clutch thats by your belly button.
Anna ended up unbuckling it for me. The reason why I couldn't
unbuckle it was because I didn't pull the lever hard enough because
it felt like it was going to break. But then Anna pulled it harder,
but it didn't end up breaking. I thank her for getting me out of the
seat buckle. Then I told her I wanted to get out of the buckle so I
didn't have to ride it again. Even though I wanted to ride it again
because I thought the ride was fun. We got ice cream before we left
and I was thinking about riding that ride again.

I
wanted to ride Dragons Descent again but we had to get going it was
almost dark out. Dragons Descent is now my favorite ride at Fun
Town. Throughout the whole ride I was worried, scared, and I had
butterflies in my stomach the whole entire time! Dragons Descent is
a thrill ride, and it made the whole time priceless. But I thought
it was worth it riding on it and if Anna wasn't there to drag me into
it then I wouldn't be writing about it right now. After riding the
Dragon's Descent I felt that I could ride it 100 more times! I had a
lot of fun riding it.
